APPLE PIE SERVICE PROJECT

Once again, the Ossining Girl Scout Community will be donating apple pies to the Ossining Food Pantry; this wonderful tradition of sharing with the residents of Ossining has become part of many girls' Thanksgiving season and we hope your troop will participate this year.

Please check the "Fliers and Events" page for a simple apple pie recipe you can follow but any recipe is just fine, as long as the pie can be frozen.
All pies delivered to the Pantry must be frozen.

Drop Off Information

Thursday, November 21
6:00 - 7:30

Parking lot of
Trinity Episcopal Church
7 South Highland Avenue
Ossining, NY 10562

Older Girl Scouts will be available to unload the pies from your car and carry them into the Pantry - you don't even have to get out of your car!

Here are a few suggestions to expedite the drop-of process:
  • Please have your pies clearly labeled "Baked" or "Unbaked"
  • Remember, all pies MUST be frozen.
  • Include reheating / cooking instructions with your pies.
  • Consider bagging each foil-wrapped pie in a Ziploc-style bag(this will keep your instructions with the pie better than tape.)

If you have any questions, please call or email me -- an email will get the fastest response, as I can answer it between classes.

Thanks for helping to make our service project a success,
Marifran DeMaine
